Course Overview

Gain a solid understanding of blockchain with the Certificate programme in Blockchain which is jointly provided by the Center of Applied Blockchain and Digital Transformation at IMI Kolkata and Swaransh IT Solutions Private Limited. Starting with the basics of blockchain, the participants will be able to build decentralized apps, smart contracts, and work on industry specific use-cases through hands-on capstone project. Blockchain Course And Certification Details

This module will provide an overview of the history and evolution of blockchain. This module will also give an overview of the major types of blockchain, an overview of the building blocks of blockchain, and the various legal issues associated with blockchain

Module 2 will familiarize the participants with a coding platform. Because of the growing demand of Python as a Programming language, various important concepts using Python will be discussed. Several hands-on exercises will be done in the sessions.

Module 3 will cover an overview of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and the Bitcoin Network, Bitcoin Transactions, and Bitcoin Wallets, and finally an overview of ethereum blockchains, smart contracts, and DApps

Module 4 will help to explore enterprise blockchain platforms like Hyperledger, and Multichain for real-world applications. There will be several hands-on sessions to solve use-cases using Hyperledger.

Module 5 will provide an overview of DeFi, NFT, ICO, crowdfunding, lending in blockchain, RegTech, and Insurtech.

Module 6 will guide the participants on how to identify business problems where blockchain can be implemented through a design thinking approach and provide an overview of the various considerations while taking up a Blockchain project. This module will also helping in providing an overview of the various marketing, branding and promotional strategies.

In Module 7, participants will be given various examples of domains, like, Finance, Education, Operations and Supply chain, human resource and marketing.

Participants will be given an overview of the entire set of steps and processes involved in developing blockchain based applications. Participants will be able to develop private blockchains, transfer assets, and explore streams. Participants will be able to develop and deploy smart contracts using Solidity, while managing functions, variables, and security.

Participants will be able to apply their knowledge through practical capstone projects that simulate real-world blockchain challenges. Few projects topics where participants will be able to integrate and demonstrate their skills is as follows: Medicine Supply Chain Management (Implement a solution to track medicine shipments throughout the journey and enable real-time verification). Note: The projects will leverage publicly available datasets.

Participants will be given career guidance by corporate experts and academic experts from India and foreign countries. Participants will also be given an overview of the expectations during the internship period and how to approach the selection interviews.
